Commissions

  •          Commemorative sculpture commissioned by DL Design Group for the foyer area of Dandenong RSL.
  •           2 Major glass murals. Combining oxidised metals and holographic material, Village Green Supersite, constructed by Thiess Contractors Pty Ltd, commissioned by Wilkinson Fincher, Architects 1998.
  •           Hanging glass and acrylic sculpture, St Francis Xavier Primary School, Frankston, commissioned by Edmond & Corrigan, Architects.
  •           War Memorial, Frankston, commissioned by the City of Frankston in conjunction with the Frankston RSL.  Sited outside the Civic Centre in Davey St, Frankston it includes 4 relief murals in Cold Cast Bronze – in collaboration with Stephen Glassborow.
  •           Carved glass logo and portraiture of prominent American financiers for Indelible Link, St Kilda.
  •           Portrait of Mr Ron Finemore, Director of Finemore Holdings Ltd, commissioned by the Board of Directors
  •           Suspended sculpture, stainless steel and glass, for Mr Peter Nelson, commissioned by John Herniman & Assoc Architects.

 Grants

2020 – Regional Arts Victoria. Grant to support the production of “Time x Time (Squared)” series of works

3 Grants including “Artists in the Schools” program: A joint project of the Victorian Ministry for the Arts and the Education Department to design and construct a glass mural wall at Glendonald School for Deaf Children, Marshall Avenue, Kew, June 1982, 14 x 5.6m (Details is of other grants available on extended CV).

 Studies

  •           1970 to 1976 – Residency at Dunmoochin with Clifton Pugh and Frank Hogkinson.  Studied S. W. Hayter’s method of colour and relief etching.
  •           1977 Private studies travel in Europe.
  •           1977 to 1980 Commercial printing, graphic design, bookbinding and commercial camera operation, Melbourne College of Printing and Graphic Arts.

 Research & work to date

  •            2012 – Ongoing research using reflective hologram and combining mixed media.
  •            2001 – Studies into computer manipulated images to be used in conjunction with holospectral medium.
  •            1996 to date – Research with holographic medium to achieve the properties of animation on 2 and 3 dimensional static grounds with multiple points of viewing, where line and form use spectral colour in the presence of white light i.e. spotlight. In 1998 a patent on the process (no. 695839) was granted.
  •            Series of works – Sea & Water – using holographic and mixed media 1996-2001.
  •           1998 – 1999 Commercial glass tile development using holographic medium, in conjunction with gold, silver and oxidised metals.
