The main structure of ‘A storm for all Seasons’ is dome shaped, representative of the sky, created from stainless steel lattice tracing outlines of wind and clouds. Within the dome are suspended 12mm laminated painted mirror acrylic which move in the wind. Also, suspended on stainless steel wire are 100 diffraction gratings, which create spectra (rainbows).
The dome is suspended on 12mm stainless steel rods each having a number of ball races. Surrounding the ball races in polished stainless steel or laminated beveled mirror in a triangular shape to catch the wind to give the appearance of water rain and spectra. The rods are bedded in fragmented and delineated by stainless steel and black granite implying a statement of a lost environment.
The pond is constructed from marble, depicting indigenous plants, insects and water currents.
